Welcome to The True Nut Co.

Making Great Products…and a Difference

Founder Steve Ryder, wife Lucy and their 9-year-old daughter Lauren had a simple idea: Develop a snack that showcases as many local ingredients as possible, with community support and involvement at its core. Originally created as a fundraiser for Stonewall Farm in Keene their first item, Maple Roasted Almonds, began as a simple father-daughter project in their home kitchen.

With the encouragement of friends and neighbors, it became apparent the Maple Roasted Almonds had a broader appeal - thus was born, The True Nut Company. In keeping with its founder’s core principles and to have a philanthropic impact from the very start, True Nut has partnered with local non-profits to help produce our line of roasted almonds.

A Partnership that Works

Our non-profit partners specialize in creating work opportunities for those who are not able to pursue traditional job opportunities.

100% of our manufacturing spending directly benefits these groups. You, as a customer or retail partner, help us to help them - right now.

First Course, a culinary training program that prepares people with physical and emotional challenges to take on jobs in the food service, handles the production of our products.

Southwestern Community Services' New Hope New Horizons provides paid employment opportunities, in integrated community settings, for people who have a developmental disability. Staff and clients of New Hope New Horizons provide packaging and fulfillment support for us.
